DOCUMENTARY SESSION

Being in the season of life where my own kids are still small, I find myself wishing for a way to freeze time so that I can savor these precious little things that come during this particular season; pudgey hands, peanut butter and jelly mustaches, kissing owies, them being small enough to curl up in my lap for a book.

I catch myself grabbing my “big” camera more and more because I want to capture more of the detail, the feeling of these moments that you just can’t quite get with the phone. I want to embrace the toys on the floor, crumbs on the table, and messy hair because this is us.

There’s a time and place for near and tidy family photos with coordinating outfits but there should also be time for documenting the everyday.

As moms, our home is our primary place of ministry. This is where we do the hard but most important and most rewarding work of pouring into our children and serving our family. What a treasure to be able to look back when our kids are grown to see where and how those seeds were being planted.

And it would be an honor for me document that for you.
